NN Explains: Pragmatism Explainer
Pragmatism was something I required an extensive amount of research on to fully understand what it meant in a government. With artist and at the time Editor-In-Chief of New Naratif, Charis Loke guiding me, we found the best way to explain it was to share it as if it were a book that can be found in a library.
You'll notice my reference to libraries throughout the comic comes full circle in page 3 of the explainer.
Page 3 underwent many revisions that would best explain an example of pragmatism in current times. I wasn't sure what was going through my mind at this point but from the sketches, I was pretty determined to include a meme in this page.
Tied up the library theme real nice with this piece. In all the seriousness of this topic, I can't believe I got away with adding a meme in this page.
The Aftermath of Malaysia's GE15 Explainer
On a similar note on elections, I was later approached in late 2022, to create visuals for an explainer to answer the top questions on what comes next after Malaysia’s fifteenth general elections: the Anti-Hopping Law (AHL), the Unity Government, and the impact of the upcoming six state elections.
